Fugelestou Ales

Fulstow Brewery, 6 Northway, Fulstow, Louth, Lincolnshire, LN11 0XH,

phone 01507 363642, brewery website

Owned and run by Phil and Dawn Ellis.Visited by Wakefield CAMRA, 24th March 2007, originally at Fulstow then Immingham but now housed in the former offices of the Louth Gas Works. Currently the brewplant is on the ground floor but it is planned to move it upstairs (see where) and turn the ground floor into a real ale bar called the Gaslight Lounge. Phil and Dawn kindly arranged a buffet for the visitors at the White Hart at Ludford.

Fugelestou New Zealand Bitter seems to be going down very well!

Left to right:: hot liquor tank, mash tun and copper, most of the 1.9 barrel plant was acquired from Brown Cow Brewery of Barlow near Selby and first used when Phil and Dawn had the Crown & Anchor at Newport near Brough.

Phil obviously sees the presentation of a certificate by Wakefield CAMRA to be a great victory for the brewery.

See upstairs where the brewplant is due to be moved.
