Where's Wakefield?
The Metropolitan District of Wakefield in West Yorkshire is on the crossroads of Britain's main North-South routes, the A1 and M1 with the East-West M62 motorway. Nearly all of the district is within postcodes WF1 to WF11, but parts of WF3 and WF10 are in Leeds, and Brotherton and Byram although WF11 are in North Yorkshire. South Hiendley has a Barnsley postcode but is ours.
Wakefield Westgate Station is on lines to London Kings Cross and London St Pancras and Wakefield Kirkgate Station has a trans-Pennine service to Manchester and from May 2010 expects to have Grand Central trains to London also calling at Pontefract Monkhill..  See also local stations on the West Yorkshire local rail network .
